Job Description
As a Magento 2 Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance Magento e-commerce websites. You will work on both new and existing projects, focusing on frontend development, theming, and integrating Magento with third-party systems such as CMS, CRM, ERP, Payment gateways, and Shipping services. The position offers flexibility to work remotely or from the office based in Ahmedabad, India.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Magento 2-based websites with a strong focus on frontend performance and UI/UX.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features and enhancements.
- Customize and extend Magento themes, templates, and modules to meet project requirements.
- Ensure the smooth integration of Magento with external systems like CMS, CRM, ERP, payment, and shipping services.
- Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend performance issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest Magento 2 releases, features, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of Magento extensions and support ongoing projects.
- Ensure high-quality, optimized code is delivered for frontend elements.
Qualification
- Education: BE in Computer Engineering, IT, BCA, MCA or equivalent.
- Experience: 1+ years of hands-on experience in Magento 2 frontend development.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Magento 2, PHP, Zend Framework.
- Strong understanding of Magento 2’s architecture and theming components (layout, blocks, templates).
- Experience in Magento extension development and integration with external systems (CMS, CRM, ERP, etc.).
- Expertise in frontend technologies: jQuery, Knockout.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
- Version control experience using Git.
- Awareness of Design Patterns used in Magento 2 development.
- Familiarity with responsive design principles and optimization techniques.
- Personal Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently or in a team.
- Proactive, self-motivated with a desire for continuous learning and improvement.
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Familiarity with web design trends and tools such as Photoshop, Sketch, or similar.
